PUGLIA IMPERIALE

Home / Where
It is a land of a high historical and monumental privilege in perfect association with nature.
Andria, Barletta, Bisceglie, Canosa di Puglia, Corato, Margherita di Savoia, Minervino Murge, San Ferdinando di Puglia, Spinazzola, Trani e Trinitapoli are the towns that will show you the itinerary of Frederick II, Swabian Emperor .
The landscape is diverse: age-old olive plantations, woodland areas, moist zones, salt pits and the valley of the river Ofanto, the land of the valuable “stone of Bari”.

Along the itinerary you cannot miss the visit to the castles, such as Castel del Monte (UNESCO heritage) and the cathedrals in Gothic and Romanesque style, such as the cathedral of Trani.
To the art lovers, Barletta offers one of the most prestigious collections of the 19th century in Europe. Inside the “Giuseppe de Nittis” picture-gallery you can feel the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Paris and London, next to the simplicity which is typical of the Apulian and Campanian countryside.
Since the cuisine is an art, do not forget to taste the “burrata” and the “caciocavallo” from Sila (typical dairy products), together with the local wines obtained from the vines of the imperial territory and the prestigious extra-virgin olive oil.
